The euphoria of euphemisms…continued!

Yesterday's post on euphemisms was so popular that I’ve decided to post a few more today. Again, euphemisms are those phrases and expressions in English that are used to express an idea or meaning in a funny or not so serious manner. Here are some more for you to learn and enjoy!

Light in the loafers (shoes): To be gay. “I think John’s gay. He seems a little light in the loafers.”

TP: Toilet Paper. “Hey, would you get some TP when you go to the market.”
Big boned: Fat. “That girl is not fat, she’s just big boned.”

Economically challenged: Poor. “I have no job, no money, and no education. I’m economically challenged.”

Been around the block: Someone who has had many boyfriends/girlfriends. “Madonna has had 15 boyfriends in the past year. She’s definitely been around the block a few times.”

Knocked up: Pregnant. “Jenny’s last boyfriend got her knocked up. She’s due in January.”

Head over heels: In love. “We’re head over heels for each other.”

To get burned: To be cheated. “I got burned by Bernie Madoff and his Ponzi scheme.”

Aesthetically challenged: Ugly. “I know he loves his girlfriend even though she’s aesthetically challenged.”

Doin’ it: Having sex. “I heard my neighbors doin’ it last night. They were so loud.”
