I think for those who haven't yet started building ad you are trying to run away from rentals my advice is after acquiring land guickly do borehole if the place is not serviced then do one big room self contained as I mentioned earlier and do the wall fence .
Move in because water power ad one nicely vanished room ad wall fence security is there I tell you, you are done even if the project takes 5 year you are okay. One thing i have discoverd is we do the one room for caretakers who just draw us back. I have build ad I have learnt a lesson. Like this the projects moves faster than staying away ad also theft is reduced. My opinion Recommended
